My involvement is largely due to my late grandfather, Joe Burnett. That is where my story begins. He walked on a small scale at first with Rockwell Aerospace International group. As the years passed, I came along and my grandfather gathered even more support from his co-workers until hundreds were walking with us. This is why businesses are so vital to the March of Dimes program. My grandmother often recalls, "being able to raise money to improve the health of babies became Joe's calling and remained so until his passing in 1999 after a five-year battle with cancer.  Yes, even with cancer, he walked."
